Description: Approximately two hundred seventy-six flowers and thirty-five buds on approximately fifty-six branching, sequentially blooming inflorescences borne on a tufted , densely flowered plant, 11.0 cm wide and 6.6 cm tall, grown in an 8.0 cm net pat; leaves congested, elongate-obovate, 0.8 cm wide and 3.6 cm long borne on a 1.6 cm long petiole, texture hard; dorsal sepal comparatively broad; chartreuse; lateral sepals chartreuse, fused proximally; petals chartreuse, minute, linear, held horizontally; lip bright orange-yellow; substance thin; texture crystalline.

Description: Nineteen flowers and nineteen buds on sixteen growth, plant grown on a 9.5 cm by 23.5 cm split cedar slab; growths are up to 36.0 cm ramicauls enveloped basally by a single tubular sheath with another just above the base carrying a single leaf 21.0 cm long by 2.5 cm wide, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, acute, gradually narrowing below into the elongate petiolate base; dorsal sepal white translucent spotted purple on distal seven-eighths, 0.3 cm caudae white; lateral sepals fused, translucent white spotted purple on distal two-thirds, 0.3 cm caudae white; petals white spotted purple on proximal half; lip white, dark maroon lanate crescent centrally; column white heavily overlaid maroon, distal third narrow maroon cylinder, apex white, anther cap white; substance firm; texture matte.

Description: A group of varieties of Paphiopedilum barbigerum showing novel forms and a wide range of plant and floral habits, including variety barbigerum, variety sulivongii, variety coccineum and variety vejvarutianum; the varieties vejvarutianum and sulivongii have spotted bracts and leaf bases; sulivongii has a spotted dorsal; the variety coccineum has richly colored flowers; the chance to see those varieties blooming together is a wonderful education opportunity; the varieties vejvarutianum and coccineum received CHM awards at this judging.
